Consider starting your journey in Moscow where you can visit the Kremlin and Red Square to learn all about Russian history. Then follow the Volga River to Vladimir where you can stop and see the Dormition Cathedral built in the 12th century.
Continue your journey by heading to Kazan, an ancient city that was once the capital of Russia. There you can visit the Kazan Kremlin that dates back to the tenth century.
If you’re into guns, then you may want to consider heading to Izhevsk next where you can tour the factories where the AK-47 is produced. There is also a museum and shooting range there where you can try firing an AK-47 for yourself.
After your trip to Izhevsk, you can take a long drive to Yekaterinburg, but you won’t be bored on the journey. This route has immensely picturesque roads and beautiful farm fields that remind you of the simpler things in life.
Yekaterinburg and Beyond
Once you arrive in Yekaterinburg, you can spend the day seeing the sites. In particular, you should check out Oktyabrskaya Square and 1905 Square. You can also see the Church on the Blood, Garden of Stones, and the Obelisk that likes at the border of Europe and Asia.
After a day-long break from riding, you can take off for Tyumen where you can explore by foot and visit the hot springs in the city center to heal your aching muscles.
After your rest, you can head to Omsk where you can take a walking tour and enjoy historical buildings from the 19th century. Then you will want to continue on to Novosibirsk, which is the largest city you will visit on this route after Moscow.
It’s the third largest city in Russia and the capital of Siberia. From there you can continue on to tour other beautiful cities in Russia. It truly is a spectacular country for those who long for the open road.
