Polaris and Zero Motorcycles Revolutionize Off-Road Adventure with All-New Electric RANGER XP Kinetic

April 24, 2023 By Alen Schnell Leave a Comment

Minneapolis, MN — Polaris Inc., a leader in powersports and off-road innovation, has recently announced that its all-new electric RANGER XP Kinetic vehicles are leaving the company’s manufacturing facility in Huntsville, Alabama, and are on their way to dealers across the country. Developed in partnership with Zero Motorcycles, the RANGER XP Kinetic is a groundbreaking off-road vehicle that combines the thrill of traditional motorcycling with cutting-edge electric powertrain technology.

Zero Motorcycles, renowned for its revolutionary Z-Force® electric powertrain, has been at the forefront of the electric motorcycle industry since its inception in a Santa Cruz garage in 2006. The partnership with Polaris has enabled the company to expand its reach further into the off-road vehicle market. With a shared vision for the future of powersports, both well-known motorcycle brands aim to deliver high-performance electric vehicles that are lightweight, efficient, and exhilarating to ride.

Motorcycle enthusiasts can expect the RANGER XP Kinetic to provide an unmatched off-road experience, offering a class-leading 110 horsepower and 140 lb-ft of instant torque. The electric powertrain enables the vehicle to tow up to 2,500 lbs and haul an industry-best 1,250 lbs, making it an excellent choice for riders who demand both performance and practicality.

Besides its impressive capabilities, the RANGER XP Kinetic also benefits from the quiet operation of an electric powertrain. This allows riders to enjoy easy conversations with passengers, approach wildlife without startling them, and work around livestock without causing a disturbance. Additionally, the electric powertrain requires fewer moving parts, which translates to fewer repair shop visits and lower maintenance costs.

The 2023 RANGER XP Kinetic models come equipped with RIDE COMMAND+, offering industry-first connected vehicle services such as remote vehicle location, battery status monitoring, and enhanced group ride tracking.

The collaboration between Polaris and Zero Motorcycles promises to elevate the off-road vehicle experience for motorcycle enthusiasts. The RANGER XP Kinetic is a testament to the potential of electric powertrains in delivering high-performance, efficient, and enjoyable rides for those seeking adventure on and off the road.
