Polaris Industries to Wind Down Victory Motorcycles
Minneapolis, MN — Polaris Industries announced on Monday, January 9th, 2017 that it would wind down its Victory Motorcycles brand and related operations. Polaris will assist dealers liquidate their remaining motorcycles. Parts, service, and warranty coverage will continue to be offered to dealers and owners for the next ten years.
Over the past 18 years, we have invested not only resources, but our hearts and souls, into forging the Victory Motorcycles brand, and we are exceptionally proud of what our team has accomplished.
Victory has struggled to establish itself within the motorcycle market and be profitable. Given this, the requirements that would be necessary to overcome these hurdles, and the strong potential for their Indian Motorcycle brand, Polaris decided that shutting down Victory and focusing their energy elsewhere was the best decision. Polaris now hopes to focus their global motorcycle business around their Indian Motorcycle and Slingshot brands.
